He Who Wins Souls Is Wise "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, but he who wins souls is wise." We should all be able to tell others about our faith with confidence and precision. This month I wanted to give you an easy way to steer a conversation towards spiritual matters, and offer a simple presentation of the gospel. During the course of a conversation, you might say something like, "Are you interested in spiritual things?" Let them answer, and then ask them, "Have you ever thought of becoming a Christian?" Allow them to answer again. Then ask them, "Suppose someone asked you what it meant to be a Christian. What would you say?" Now they must respond according to what they actually understand concerning salvation. After they answer, you can then clarify as needed by saying, "can I share with you what mean it means to be a Christian. Okay? Here are four simple truths:" I. About our sins: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23. II. About the results of sin and the wonderful gift of God: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord," Romans 6:23. III. About the cure for sin: "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name," John 1:12. IV. About how to receive Him: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me," Revelation 3:20. A) Admit you sinned. B) Believe in Jesus Christ. C) Commit your life to Him! Then ask, "Would you like to invite Jesus Christ into your life?" I pray as individuals and as a church we will answer Christ's call to "go into all the world." With Souls in Mind,
Proverbs 11:30 (NKJV)
As a church we are commissioned to go into all the world and share our faith. When we are given citizenship papers for the Kingdom of God, we are also given a fishing pole for the sea of humanity, for Jesus said, "I will make you fishers of men"!
It is as simple as A, B, C.
